Last spring home gym equipment sold out across the country as fast as you could say “social distancing.” Supply chains broke down right as demand was spiking, and short of paying some hideous markup on eBay you couldn’t find a dumbbell anywhere. (At least one guy turned finding and reselling weights into a full-time hustle.) Thankfully, locating exercise equipment is now nowhere near as difficult—it’s still hard to get squat racks and bumper plates, and a Peloton will take a few weeks to arrive, but it’s much better than it was. Given that, we figured it was the perfect time to round up some of our favorite home gym equipment to build your dream at-home workout situation.
