Model: Dunk High “Iowa”
Release Date: December 9
Buy: Nike and select retailers
What We’re Saying: After being rumored several months ago, the “Iowa” Nike Dunk High has been confirmed for a release on December 9 by Nike. The colorway — featuring a black leather base and yellow overlays — was previously released in 2012. It’s part of an iconic Dunk linage that includes the original 1985 University of Iowa Dunk High from the BTTYS pack and the highly-coveted “Wu-Tang” collaboration from 1999, of which there are believed to be only 36 pairs in existence.
This re-release of the colorway celebrates the silhouette’s 35th anniversary and is a welcome retro, as the originals are incredibly hard to find for an affordable price.
What the Internet Is Saying: With official information having just arrived, reactions are scarce at the moment, though sneakerheads met the leaks from a few months ago with enthusiasm. Most collectors are champing at the bit to get their hands on one of the most coveted BTTYS pack colorways.
